BLACKPINK Talks About Their Most Difficult Song To Perform, First Impressions, No. 1 Promise, And More

BLACKPINK appeared as guests on SBS PowerFM’s “Lee Guk Joo’s Young Street”!
On June 21, the girl group spoke about their similarities with the DJ and comedienne Lee Guk Joo.
Talking about how much she likes the comedy program “Comedy Big League,” Jisoo said, “I like imitating. So when I watch it, I become ambitious about comedy. It’s so fun watching it, so I want to go and try doing it. I like saying [funny things], using popular phrases, and like everything on ‘Comedy Big League.’”
Lee Guk Joo replied, “We’re always ready, so when you get the time, I’ll put you in the segment that you like.”
Jennie praised Lee Guk Joo’s cooking skills and the comedienne said that she’ll visit the YG Entertainment’s company restaurant.
Rosé said, “Instead of eating a lot, I’m the type that enjoys what I eat. When I eat something yummy, my eyes tear up. There are times when I’m so touched that I cry. These days, I really want to eat spicy noodles.” Hearing this, Lee Guk Joo joked, “You’re worse than me. I don’t even cry while eating. I’ve eaten 10 bowls of spicy noodles before.”
Lisa chose cuteness as one of her similarities with Lee Guk Joo and sang BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU-DU” with a cute voice. The title track off BLACKPINK’s first mini album “Square Up” has been topping domestic and international charts.
There are many dance cover videos of BLACKPINK songs on the internet. Jennie revealed, “‘Whistle’ is difficult. ‘Boombayah’ has big movements, so it’s easy to follow, but ‘Whistle’ has a lot of grooves, so it’s the most difficult for me on stage.”
After choosing Lisa as the most playful member, Jisoo explained, “She likes to lean on me, spin me around, and plays with me like a toy.” Lisa commented, “Her reactions are fun and I think she likes being attacked.”
Jennie chose Lisa as the member with the most memorable first impression. “She had short hair and tied a bit of her hair to create the apple hair,” she said, “She appeared with really wide-legged pants and danced, so I remember her the most.” Jisoo added, “The point of that hairstyle is that the happier she is, the looser it gets.”
Lisa then picked Jisoo as the most memorable member. She explained, “She looked so innocent and wore a red hoodie.”
Rosé named herself as the member who is easily pranked. Jisoo added, “It’s definitely not Jennie. If something seems suspicious, she’ll say, ‘Where’s the camera?’”
When a listener asked what language she dreams in, Lisa answered, “I was also curious about that myself. Two days ago, I dreamt in Korean.” The members added that when Lisa gets scared, she reacts in Korean and says, “Mom, wait a minute” in Korean to her mom over the phone.
For their No. 1 promise, Jisoo said, “I say this a lot, but I like the other members’ rap parts a lot, so I want to swap parts and do it as I want to.”

Yano Shiho Explains Why Her Family Has Moved To Hawaii J. K June 21, 2018

Yano Shiho, Choo Sung Hoon, and Choo Sarang have moved to Hawaii!
In a recent interview with the magazine Elle, model Yano Shiho shared that she moved from Japan to Hawaii this spring. The reasons she listed for the move were “My daughter’s education, family time together, and to challenge myself.”
Yano Shiho has since posted on Instagram with a photo from Hawaii to say, “Thank you for sending so many messages of congratulations.” She added, “It’s surprising when I look at my age of 42 years as a number, but I’m enjoying my current age, which feels different than my 20s and 30s. This is a new start here.” She said she wants to keep everyone updated through different methods about their life overseas, caring for Choo Sarang, and both her family and work.

Yano Shiho’s husband Choo Sung Hoon and their daughter Choo Sarang appeared as one of the first families on “The Return of Superman,” and Yano Shiho also often appeared on the show. The family received much love from viewers and become household names in Korea, going on to film a reality show titled “Choovely’s Outing” in Mongolia last year.
Some Japanese media outlets linked the family’s move to a negative reaction by some viewers in Japan to a TV appearance in which Yano Shiho was shown not disciplining Choo Sarang when she was touching another person’s phone on a train. Yano Shiho stated in an interview with a Japanese magazine in February that she thought her parenting style had been wrong.
About 16 percent of Hawaii’s population is of Japanese descent, and it’s reported that there are many Japanese celebrities who have made the move to Hawaii to raise their children.

SHINee’s Key Shares His Biggest Worry After Passing 10-Year Mark As An Idol

SHINee’s Key revealed his thoughts on being a 10-year idol during his appearance on the June 21 broadcast of “Life Bar.”
When MC and labelmate Kim Heechul of Super Junior asked Key why he wants to becomes more popular, the SHINee member began, “These days, my biggest worry is…”“If you wanted to, you could say that I’ve just now only worked 10 years, but I finally feel that I understand many things about this line of work better and I feel more comfortable while working. However, I have a hard time approaching new people now,” Key explained. “I keep feeling like my novelty is fading. I’m ready to work even harder, but it feels like people have already seen everything, all the many sides of me. This has just been a worry of mine.”
The other guests Jin Seo Yun and Oh Na Ra as well as the hosts expressed how they empathize with Key’s worries. Shin Dong Yup commented, “It’s only natural you end up thinking that way around that point [in your career].”
Jin Seo Yun advised, “You have always been noticed for 10 years so I don’t know [if this will help], but I just try to live as if it’s my last day. There is no tomorrow. Tomorrow, I’ll be a different me. No matter what people think of me, I’m reborn as a new person every day.”
Kim Heechul agreed, adding, “I’m also like that. You only know what tomorrow will be like when it comes. Let’s just live in the now today and I’ll only know what tomorrow brings when I wake up. It’s just better to work enjoyably like this.”

Recommended by Eric Nam

Though this particular track isn't necessarily a direct recommendation, we've seen artist Eric Nam, reach out to many Western artists to collaborate on his newest tracks. AOBeats, in particular, is an artist that featured Eric on his fun, electronic track "Like You". AO's latest endeavor includes his full-length release, Pilot, which we highly recommend if you enjoyed what he did with Eric Nam. We recommend starting out with "No Fakin'" or "Peanut Butter".
