Yano Shiho Explains Why Her Family Has Moved To Hawaii J. K June 21, 2018

Yano Shiho, Choo Sung Hoon, and Choo Sarang have moved to Hawaii!

In a recent interview with the magazine Elle, model Yano Shiho shared that she moved from Japan to Hawaii this spring. The reasons she listed for the move were “My daughter’s education, family time together, and to challenge myself.”

Yano Shiho has since posted on Instagram with a photo from Hawaii to say, “Thank you for sending so many messages of congratulations.” She added, “It’s surprising when I look at my age of 42 years as a number, but I’m enjoying my current age, which feels different than my 20s and 30s. This is a new start here.” She said she wants to keep everyone updated through different methods about their life overseas, caring for Choo Sarang, and both her family and work.

Yano Shiho’s husband Choo Sung Hoon and their daughter Choo Sarang appeared as one of the first families on “The Return of Superman,” and Yano Shiho also often appeared on the show. The family received much love from viewers and become household names in Korea, going on to film a reality show titled “Choovely’s Outing” in Mongolia last year.

Some Japanese media outlets linked the family’s move to a negative reaction by some viewers in Japan to a TV appearance in which Yano Shiho was shown not disciplining Choo Sarang when she was touching another person’s phone on a train. Yano Shiho stated in an interview with a Japanese magazine in February that she thought her parenting style had been wrong.

About 16 percent of Hawaii’s population is of Japanese descent, and it’s reported that there are many Japanese celebrities who have made the move to Hawaii to raise their children.

When MC and labelmate Kim Heechul of Super Junior asked Key why he wants to becomes more popular, the SHINee member began, “These days, my biggest worry is…”“If you wanted to, you could say that I’ve just now only worked 10 years, but I finally feel that I understand many things about this line of work better and I feel more comfortable while working. However, I have a hard time approaching new people now,” Key explained. “I keep feeling like my novelty is fading. I’m ready to work even harder, but it feels like people have already seen everything, all the many sides of me. This has just been a worry of mine.”

The other guests Jin Seo Yun and Oh Na Ra as well as the hosts expressed how they empathize with Key’s worries. Shin Dong Yup commented, “It’s only natural you end up thinking that way around that point [in your career].”

Jin Seo Yun advised, “You have always been noticed for 10 years so I don’t know [if this will help], but I just try to live as if it’s my last day. There is no tomorrow. Tomorrow, I’ll be a different me. No matter what people think of me, I’m reborn as a new person every day.”

Kim Heechul agreed, adding, “I’m also like that. You only know what tomorrow will be like when it comes. Let’s just live in the now today and I’ll only know what tomorrow brings when I wake up. It’s just better to work enjoyably like this.”

Gordon Ramsay reacted to Mark's cooking skills. 

On June 4, a fan of NCT asked the world-famous chef to share his thoughts on Mark's fried eggs. Mark made the fried eggs during an appearance on MBC's 'It's Dangerous Outside the Blanket. 

 

The fan tweeted, "@GordonRamsay my boyfriend was making eggs... What do you think?" In response, Gordon Ramsay suggested she dump the man with terrible cooking skills, and said, "Get back on Tinder!"

GOSSIP, SOCIAL MEDIA Jo Kwon fires back at malicious comments on LGBTQ

Jo Kwon spoke out for the LGBTQ community. 

On June 3, Jo Kwon shared a selfie taken with Hong Suk Chun, who's considered Korea's most famous gay celebrity. After visiting Hong Suk Chun's restaurant, Jo Kwon wrote, "So delicious. And so amazing. He's just the best."

Under the post, several netizens left malicious comments criticizing the LGBTQ community. Jo Kwon fired back at the hate with strong remarks. He said, "This way or that way, what's the problem??? Am I that way if I go there? Hey, it's 2018 now." 

He continued, "I usually just ignore it and let it slide. They say social media is a waste. I also agree. But in order to communicate, I use my public account without 'harming' others. But sometimes I see these accounts without any followers that do things that go beyond common sensical acts to gain attention. I want to say this to them. Did I harm your life in any way? Celebrities are humans too. I hope you become a person with a broader perspective of the world. There are people who look this way, that way, with this kind of personality and that personality, this kind of preference and that kind of preference. They all deserve to be loved. I hope you learn to respect others first. What are you going to say if someone out of nowhere just asks why do you look that way? You're too fat. You're too skinny. Everyone has the right to be loved. If these people never harmed you in any way then please give love and live a beautiful life."

Jo Kwon lastly added, "Not just this netizen but there were others who even DM'ed my peers. It's funny how they say I'm that kind of person or this kind of person. Stop discriminating. Someone can also hate and discriminate against you. We can't satisfy everyone in the world but there is a basic line. Don't change my feed full of rainbows to dark clouds."

Hello Venus member and actress Nara has been confirmed for a new drama!

Nara will appear in SBS’s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama “Dear Judge” (working title) and will be joining Lee Yoo Young and Yoon Shi Yoonas the newest member of the cast.Dear Judge” will be a legal drama that shows the difference between justice in a courtroom and the people’s definition of justice.

Yoon Shi Yoon will be playing the role of twin brothers and judges Han Soo Ho and Han Kang Ho, while Lee Yoo Young will portray a student in the Judicial Research and Training Institute.

Nara will appear as an announcer named Joo Eun Yeok who’s just starting to become more experienced at her job. She is also Han Soo Ho’s girlfriend who gets to know Han Kang Ho.

Nara made her debut as an actress by appearing as a prosecutor in SBS’s “Suspicious Partner.” She most recently portrayed a movie actress in tvN’s “My Ahjussi.”

A source from the drama said, “Nara debuted as an actress through an SBS drama and decided to appear in ‘Dear Judge’ as she establishes herself as an idol-actress. Please look forward to Nara who will show more mature acting than before.”

“Dear Judge” will premiere sometime in July.

BTS Earns Their Highest Rankings Yet On Official U.K. Albums And Singles Charts

On May 25 local time, both the Official Singles Chart and Official Albums Chart were released for the week of May 25 to May 31.

BTS’s new album “Love Yourself: Tear” has entered the Official Albums Chart in the Top 10! It grabbed the No. 8 spot on the chart. The group’s previous highest ranking on the chart was No. 14 with their mini album “Love Yourself: Her.”

The Official Albums Chart ranks the Top 100 biggest albums of the week in the United Kingdom, based on CD sales, downloads, vinyl, and weighted audio streams. BTS became the first Korean artist to enter the chart in the United Kingdom with “WINGS” back in 2016.

BTS has also set a new record for K-pop groups on the Official Singles Chart! Their title track “Fake Love” has entered the chart at No. 42, beating the previous record of No. 46 that they set with the remix of “MIC Drop” last year.

The Official Singles Chart shows the most popular songs in the United Kingdom, and it ranks tracks based on official sales of downloads, CDs, vinyl, and audio streams. The record for highest ranking on the chart by a Korean artist is held by PSY’s “Gangnam Style” which came in No. 1.
