Hani relays how she feels about joining 'Baek Jong Won's Top 3 Chefs' as an MC

Hani was present for the press conference for 'Baek Jong Won's Top 3 Chefs' held Thursday at SBS's Broadcasting Center in Seoul, where she relayed how she felt aboutjoining the program as a fixed MC. 

Hani said, "I wonder if there is a job like this," when asked how she feels about joining 'Baek Jong Won's Top 3 Chefs.'

The idol elaborated, "As I began working, I wondered if there is a great job like this elsewhere. It's great to be tasting an expert's food every week. The show's changed airing time is a bit burdensome but I'll do my best."

Yoo Jae Suk Shows Off His Moves for TWICE’s “OOH-AHH”

A motley crew of celebrities — including Super Junior’s Ryeowook and Jang Yoon Jung — on “Same Bed, Different Dreams” learned parts of the choreography to TWICE’s “OOH-AHH,” as taught by group members Nayeon andDahyun.

The two TWICE members appear on the January 23 episode of the show, and Nayeon asks for the celebrities’ help, as TWICE is usually nine-strong, and they only have two people. While a majority of the celebrities struggle with the dance, MC Yoo Jae Suk catches on quickly, and shows the others just how easy the moves that they learned are, from some simple hip action to a cute jump.

Ladies’ Code Reportedly to Make Comeback Early 2016

According to various reports on January 24, Ladies’ Code will be Polaris Entertainment’s first artist to make a comeback in 2016, aiming for a return in spring.

Star News states that members Sojung, Ashley, and Zuny have significantly recovered from the aftereffects of their accident in late 2014 and the subsequent deaths of members EunB and RiSe, and have been in and out of their practice studio in preparation for their comeback. While the girls are still receiving psychological therapy, they are receiving less and less.

This will be Ladies’ Code’s first comeback in two years following their single “Kiss Kiss” in 2014. While the group released the song “Smile Even If It Hurts” in memory of EunB and RiSe in September of last year, they did not have official promotions for the song.

While no official statement has been made, a source from Polaris Entertainment stated, “In order to show something new, we are receiving songs from various places. We’re preparing to make a comeback as soon as we decide on a track.” The source continued, saying that it looks like they’ll be ready soon, and that if everything goes well, Ladies’ Code could return before spring.

Regarding the addition of new members to the group, the Polaris source said, “Nothing’s been decided, but it’s likely that we’ll stay with just the current three.”

VIXX’s Ravi Shares His Passion for Music in BNT Pictorial

VIXX‘s Ravi recently participated in his first-ever solopictorial with BNT.

This photo shoot had four concepts in total. The first one is to show his mysterious side, the second one is to express his youth, the third one is a modern and rough kind of side, and the last one is a bold and unique side of himself.

After the photo shoot, Ravi said during the interview, “It was my first photo shoot alone so it was fun and enjoyable. I shot a lot of pictorials while promoting the LR unit, but this is my first time shooting it alone.”

When asked what he does during his free time, Ravi answered, “I don’t really like to rest, so I just keep writing songs even if I get some time off.”

Ravi also talked about his best friends EXO‘s Kai and SHINee‘s Taemin, saying, “I became close with Kai because we had a lot of broadcasts that overlapped with each other. I became close with Taemin, too, because Kai is close with him.”

He talked about having worked with girl group Melody Day, saying, “I couldn’t actually meet them in person, but I was still excited thinking about releasing a different kind of song.” He went on to talk about his role model, revealing, “My role model is the rapper and producer Kanye West.”

Ravi also hinted about his solo activities, saying, “My mixtape that was revealed on January 4 is, you could say, the start of my individual activity. Starting from the music I worked on with Microdot, I will fill it with my music one at a time.”

Kim Woo Bin and Lee Hyun Woo’s “The Technicians” Gets a Sequel

A sequel is in the works for the 2014 movie “The Technicians.”

Reports revealed on January 20 that Chinese enterprise Alibaba Group has invested around 15 billion won (approximately $12 million) into producing a sequel for the film starring popular actors Kim Woo Bin and Lee Hyun Woo.

The producers are currently casting leads for the sequel. It is unclear whether actors featured in the previous film will be joining the new production.

“The Technicians 2″ is set to be produced by Trinity Entertainment and directed by Park Hong Soo, who is best known for his work on the 2013 thriller “Commitment.”

Meanwhile, “The Technicians” enjoyed moderate success in the domestic box office, reaching 2.5 million viewers.

Actress Go Eun Ah Explains Why Her Nose Looks Different Now

Actress Go Eun Ah, whom many know as MBLAQ‘s Mir‘s older sister, appears as guest on the January 20 episode of “Please Take Care of My Dressing Table.” On the FashionN beauty show, Go Eun Ah gives tips on basic skin care, revealing that she has been using eye creams since she was in the elementary school, while not currently using lotions, sunscreen, or toners.
Go Eun Ah also addresses, for the first time, speculations regarding her nose. She reveals that she had to undergo reconstructive surgery due to an injury sustained on a film set. The actress was hit by a light on set and her face was torn from her nose to her lips. Go Eun Ah adds, “That’s why I was on hiatus for a year, and why people said my plastic surgery had gone wrong.”

Park Bom Makes First Public Appearance Since the 2015 MAMAs

Fans of 2NE1 got an update on member Park Bom!

On January 20, the Samgeori Butchers (restaurant run by Yang Hyun Suk) shop posted a snapshot of Park Bom with the company’s mascot to their official Instagram account. The company wrote, “2NE1′s Park Bom paid a visit to our shop today. Please come visit us often in the future!”

The update is one of very few since Park Bom’s amphetamine scandal back in the summer of 2014. Since then, Park Bom has largely stayed out of the spotlight while her fellow members pursued solo activities. However, 2NE1 delighted fans with a special performance at the 2015 MAMAs this past December with all four members present.

Fantagio Announces Debut of Rookie Group ASTRO

A new boy group is coming to town! Fantagio Music announced that they will be debuting their newest group ASTRO on February 23 with a mini album and full-scale promotions.

ASTRO consists of six members Yoon Sanha, MJ, Cha Eunwoo, Moon Bin,Rocky, and Jinjin. The name “ASTRO” comes from the Spanish word for “star.” It represents the members’ wish to dream with the people they love, and become a shining star with them.

Since last year ASTRO has been active in pre-debut promotions. Through their promotions they were able to differentiate themselves from other idols, build a solid fandom, and advertise their talents.

The artists first met fans through the web-drama “To Be Continued,” and also toured around the country, visiting 14 places. The singers promised to meet their fans every month if they earned over 10,000 friends on KakaoTalk through the “Meet U” project. Through “This Month’s Date” ASTRO has already met 1,800 fans.

On January 21, ASTRO will begin airing their reality show “OK! Preparations Finished” on MBC Music. On February 23, they will be meeting 1,600 fans at the Children’s Park Wapop Hall to celebrate their debut.

Fantagio commented that they are doing their best to prepare for a “perfect and cool” performance that will reward fans for anticipating the group through their pre-debut activities, such as their reality program. They asked for fans to please anticipate their debut, and to support them in their upcoming endeavors.

Kim Dong Hyun Apologizes for EXO Xiumin’s Injury

Following the news of EXO’s Xiumin getting injured at the “2016 Idol Star Athletics Championships,” mixed martial arts fighter Kim Dong Hyun has apologized through his Instagram account.His apology reads, “During the futsal match at the Idol Star Athletics Championships, I had an unintentional accident with EXO’s Xiumin. I was worried he might have been severely injured but thankfully they say there has been no harm to [his] bones, so I am relieved. I sincerely hope he recovers quickly and that it doesn’t cause any large issues with his schedule. I am also apologetic to the Idol Star Athletics Championships production crew.”

Meanwhile, criticism against the Idol Star Athletics Championships grows amidst continued injuries every year.

Kill me Heal me

I finally knew what is the meaning behind “Don’t judge book by its cover” saying after watched this drama. I have no intention to fall deeply for Kill Me, Heal Me. In fact, I’m planning to skip this drama and focus on Hyde, Jekyll, and Me, which premiered only few weeks after KMHM aired. However, I find myself hooked on Kill Me, Heal Me after just watched its first episode. Funny, right? I never put my hopes high for Ji Sung and Hwang Jung Eum pair. This is actually my first drama of Ji Sung and Hwang Jung Eum. I don’t know why but I never find myself willing to watch the drama with both of them as the leads. But now I know that I will never ever skip the drama starred by these two amazing actors in the future. I will now proudly enthrone Kill Me Heal Me as the best drama in first quarter. The drama has full package of genres, from drama, comedy, romance, to mystery! 

Kill Me Heal Me tell the story of a third generation chaebol Cha Do Hyun (Ji Sung) who suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) or multiple personalities disorder after faced terrible experience during his childhood. Growing up, Do Hyun has to share his life with his other six personalities: Shin Se Gi, Perry Park, Ahn Yo Sub, Ahn Yo Na, Nana, and Mr. X. Each personality shows distinctive characters. One day, he met a psychologist Oh Ri Jin (Hwang Jung Eum), who, with her kind heart, willing to help Do Hyun heal himself. However, Ri Jin’s twin brother and a popular writer Oh Ri On (Park Seo Joon) also seemed to put his interest in Do Hyun’s illness and tried to take advantage of his disease for his next novel. 

But, thank God the writer seemed to understand most of the viewers’ feeling – when they have to watch the same storyline over and over again – and decided to put something else for the show. It was seen during Dr. Seok Ho Pil’s (Go Chang Seok) visit to one of his intern’s (Oh Ri Jin) patient. My happiness and excitement start to grow when I see Go Chang Seok as one of the casts who I will see often in the show (since he’s Do Hyun’s doctor). As far as I know, Go Chang Seok never failed in any role he played and he never chose any mediocre drama or movie.

Plot

A rationalizing Cinderella story between Gil Ra-im (Ha Ji-Won) a stuntwoman and Kim Joo-won (Hyun Bin) a high-end department store CEO (a modern-day prince charming). Through a misunderstanding while trying to resolve a scandal of his cousin, Oska, a famous singer, Ra-im and Joo-won meet and he finds himself stunned by her coolness. Joo-won, who has sound judgement and does not believe in 'love at the first sight' does quite not understand why he has stuck on her, as her appearance keeps coming to his mind. Then as he pursues her she starts reciprocating his feelings, even though Gil Ra-im is seen as a poor and has a profession that has an invisible existence. However, she has a lot of passion to progress in her career and has a been self-supporting that makes her not believe in fairytales. As two different worlds collide, the development of learning about each other happens. For example, 'Cinderella' has learned about a dress code and 'the prince charming' has learned about the little mermaid's right! Oska is a playboy who wants to lead a hedonistic life and resume his popular status as a hallyu star. Then he reunites with his former love Yoon Seul, who has made a successful directing career for herself. But Yoon Seul wants nothing to do with Oska, rather she has her eyes set on Joo-won. The four become tangled in a love square, that becomes more confusing when Ra-im and Joo-won begin switching bodies

Main characters 

• Ha Ji-won as Gil Ra-im

Tough but secretly lonely, the spunky Gil Ra-im works as a stuntwoman for an action school that is run by director Im Jong-soo. As for her ideal type, she prefers men who can throw punches faster than her, and she prefers throwing men over her shoulders rather than awkwardly flirting with them. Due to her father's death when she was in high school, she works hard and doesn't like relying on other people. Her one obsession is Oska, a famous Hallyu star. Though she wasn't looking for romance, switching bodies with the rude CEO Kim Joo-won brings about confusing feelings.

• Hyun Bin as Kim Joo-won

He is an heir of the notorious wealthy Moon family, therefore his marriage involves many stakeholders. He was well- educated from a top university in the US, is good looking, and arrogant because of a typical up-bringing in an upper class family. Specific traits that are built in to convey the story are being single-minded perfectionist, rational, overpowering and specifically a defective memory causing him to have claustrophobia. As a perfectionist, he has a habit of saying, "Is this the best? Are you sure?" His employees consider him aggressive because of his straight westernized style of management. He handpicks everything that he thinks is perfect for him, but his perfection is single-minded. For example, track suits that he picks others consider frivolous. As a rational person, he always seeks answers and solutions to explain things that happen to him. As a person who uses excessive power to get things, this can be seen in his management and pursuing Gil Ra-im. Almost seen as sexual assaults and harassment for some viewers, he overpowers his affection in many episodes with the main actress.

• Yoon Sang-hyun as Choi Woo-young / Oska

A famous Hallyu star who is slowly losing his popularity, Oska is not only Joo-won's cousin but his fiancée Yoon Seul's first love. He has an almost childish competition with his cousin. He used to rely on his charming looks and money, but seeing Seul again and discovering new talent in a young man named "Sun" triggers something inside of him to change.

• Kim Sa-rang as Yoon Seul

Oska's first love and Kim Joo-won's fiancée. She comes from a privileged family and is gifted with gorgeous looks and a smart brain. Unable to forgive Oska, she is bent on making him hurt as much as possible. This also includes getting engaged to his cousin Joo-won, who she finds quite attractive.

• Lee Phillip as Director Im Jong-soo

Having studied abroad, Im Jong-soo speaks English fluently and is well connected with Hollywood. Despite his gruff and rough exterior, he cares about his stunt actors deeply and looks out for them. He holds a soft spot for Ra-im, who is oblivious to his feelings.

• Lee Jong-suk as Han Tae-sun

A young genius musician discovered by Oska in Jeju Island. Prickly and cold, at first he rebuffs Oska's attempts to recruit him. It is later revealed that he is gay and Oska becomes his muse.

Ra-im's best friend who shares a loft with her. She works at the department store Joo-won owns.
